You can now reset an embedded Power BI dashboard to its default template directly from the dashboard tab. This makes it easy to keep dashboards consistent across portfolios without manually reconfiguring each one.
How it works
On the Dashboard tab, click the kebab menu (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner and select Reset report to default.
What happens depends on where you are:
- Portfolio App — the dashboard is reset to the template defined in the model. If you manage multiple portfolios that should use the same dashboards, you only need to configure the dashboard once in the model. All portfolios following that model can then be reset to match.
- Model or Insights App — the dashboard is reset to the default report.
