Portfolio managers can now add their own fields on cards in the Funnel view, even when the portfolio follows the funnel stages of a model. Previously, if your portfolio used funnel stages from a model, the fields shown on cards were locked to whatever the model defined. With this update, a new model setting lets administrators allow managers to add extra fields alongside the model defaults.
New model setting for fields on cards
Administrators can now control whether portfolio managers are allowed to customize the fields shown on cards when following a model. This setting is available in the model configuration for portfolios, agile programs, and projects that use model-based funnel stages.
When the setting is enabled:
- Cards show the fields defined by the model as a baseline
- Portfolio managers can add additional fields on top of the model fields
- Note: The fields can only be added to all lists (not yet for a specific funnel phase)
- The combined set of fields (model + custom) is displayed on cards in the Funnel view
When the setting is disabled (default behavior), only the fields defined by the model are shown on cards and managers cannot change them.

How to use it
As an administrator:
- Open the model configuration for your portfolio model.
- Enable the option that allows managers to set their own fields on cards.
- Save the configuration.
As a portfolio manager:
- Open your Portfolio and navigate to the Funnel view.
- Open the Fields on cards settings (via the
⋮menu or the view configuration). - Add the extra fields you want to display on the cards.
- The cards now show both the model fields and your custom fields.
Best practices
- Use the model fields as a baseline for consistency across portfolios, and let managers add fields that are relevant to their specific context.
- Communicate the change to portfolio managers so they know they can now personalize the card layout in their Funnel view.
- Review field selections periodically to avoid cluttered cards — adding too many fields can make the Funnel harder to read.
