Fortes Change Cloud now loads Power BI dashboards and BI Connectivity data significantly faster. A new Horizon setting lets you control how much historical entry data is included, and behind-the-scenes paging ensures data loads efficiently — even for large environments with years of accumulated data. Additionally, the Orders table is now available in BI Connectivity.
Horizon setting for entry data
You can now set a time horizon that limits how far back entry data is included in your Power BI dashboards and BI Connectivity exports. This prevents unnecessary processing of old data and speeds up refresh times.
By default, the horizon is set to dynamic: from one year in the past to five years in the future (a six-year window). You can adjust this to match your organization’s reporting needs.
To configure the horizon:
- Open the Insights App.
- Open the Configure data set menu.
- Select Set horizon to configure the start date and time range for entry data.

The following interactive guide shows you how to configure the Horizon setting:
Faster data loading
Power BI dashboards and BI Connectivity exports now load entry data in smaller chunks instead of all at once. This means:
- Dashboards refresh faster in the Insights App
- BI Connectivity exports process more reliably, even with large datasets
- Reduced risk of timeouts during data loading
This improvement works automatically — no configuration is needed.
Orders table in BI Connectivity
The Orders table is now available in the BI Connectivity OData feed. You can use this table in Power BI or other BI tools to report on order data directly from Fortes Change Cloud.
Best practices
- Set the Horizon to match your reporting needs. If you only report on the last two years, narrow the range to improve performance.
- Refresh dashboards after configuring the Horizon to see the effect on loading times.
