Administrators can now import plan items of type Kanban through the Import/Export module. This makes it possible to create new Kanban items in bulk from an external data source, instead of adding them manually one by one.
The import supports creating Kanban items under different parent types in both Projects and Agile Programs.
Setting up a Kanban import task
To import Kanban items, create a new import task in the Import/export module with the data type plan item.
When the import condition is set to Create:
- Select a parent type for the imported items. The following parent types are available:
- Plan item — import Kanban items under an existing plan item
- Log types — import Kanban items under any built-in log type (e.g., risks, issues)
- ART — import Kanban items into an Agile Program
- Projects — import Kanban items into a project
- Configure the field mapping as usual. The Source field is automatically set to “Kanban” and shown as read-only — you do not need to map it manually.
