How do I work with the homepage of the Project app?

While the homepage of the Project app isn’t really a tab, it is a useful page! The page gives an overview of all projects you can access and enables you to view and restore archived projects.

This article answers the following questions:

What is the goal of the homepage of the Project app?

The homepage of the Project app offers an overview of all projects you can access. The overview makes a distinction between classic project and standard projects (here you can read more about this distinction). It is also possible to create a new project on this page, if your assigned role has sufficient rights. Furthermore, the homepage contains the possibility to view archived projects. To summarize, the homepage of the Project app offers an overview of all your projects.

What is the difference between a classic project and a standard project?

A classic project is a project in Principal Toolbox style (the predecessor of Fortes Change Cloud). However, a classic project is as easily used as any within Fortes Change Cloud. A standard project, on the other hand, is displayed in the new Project app in Fortes Change Cloud. A standard project has some additional functions, like a kanban board that displays the tasks of a project and its plan-items, or the adding of resources to plan-items. The difference lies in the setting in which a project exists and in the extra functionalities that Fortes Change Cloud offers with respect to Principal Toolbox.

It is possible to switch a project from classic to standard or the other way around.
