Agile Program Models

From version 18, the Fortes Change Cloud application now also offers models for setting up and using the Agile Program module. This new functionality makes it easier to manage and coordinate Agile programs, allowing teams to collaborate more efficiently and respond to changes more quickly. With the Agile Program module, users can create, prioritize, and assign program items to different teams, resulting in a streamlined and effective workflow.

In this program model, it is possible to include a configuration for the following components:

  • Visible tabs
  • Canvases
  • Kanban lists

To add an agile program model in the application, navigate to the location where the existing agile programs are located. Select the program on which the model should be based and then click the Model button above the list.

In the pop-up screen, enter a name for the model and (optionally) a description. Then click Ok. The model will then be placed on the Model tab in the respective folder. From there, the model can be moved to another location within the application if needed. This program model can be used to create new programs in the application.

If there are existing agile programs that need to be linked to the newly created program model, you can contact the Fortes support department (support@fortes.nl) for assistance.

Configuring Components of the Agile Program Model

Visible Tabs

In the program model, you can configure which functional tabs are available by default within the programs based on this model.

In the program model, click the gear icon at the bottom left of the page to set the visibility of the functional tabs in the model. Then select or deselect the desired tabs by checking or unchecking them, and click Save to apply the settings.

Kanban Lists

In addition to configuring the visible tabs and canvases, it is also possible to include the lists in the Kanban boards in the model.

The Kanban lists can be configured via the Kanban tab in the program model. Navigate to this tab and click on the option + Add Funnel Stage.

Then enter the desired name for the funnel stage and click Add.

Add multiple funnel stages to set up the desired process.

Canvases

In the program model, configuration of canvases can also be included. You can also configure in which lists the canvases are visible.

To set up a canvas, go to the agile program model. Here, on the Kanban tab, you will find the Configure canvases option under the menu at the top of the page.

Then click on the option + ADD CANVAS TEMPLATE.

In the pop-up dialog, enter a name for the canvas template and then add one or more segments to the canvas by clicking on + ADD SEGMENT.

After adding the canvas to the model, it will be shown in the list with available canvasses in the model.

Finally, you will need to specify in the model which lists on the Kanban board the added canvas will be visible in. You can do this by clicking on + ADD CANVAS CONFIGURATION in the canvas configuration of the model.

Here you have the option to add the canvas to all lists in the model. To do this, check the option In all lists. You can also choose to add the canvas to one or more specific lists. To do this, select the relevant lists under the option In the following lists.
