Resources
Introduction
The Resources tab is the first tab you see when you open a Resource Pool in the Resource Supply app. Here you manage which resources (people) belong to the pool. Once a resource is part of a pool, their availability can be planned and allocated across teams in the Plan resources on team tab.
For a full overview of the Resource Supply app, including how pools, teams, and capacity planning work together, see My Resource Pools.
Adding resources to the pool
- Open a Resource Pool in the Resource Supply app.
- Navigate to the Resources tab.
- Click + Add to add one or more resources to the pool.
The following interactive guide walks you through the process:
Removing resources from the pool
Select a resource and remove it from the pool. When a resource is removed, any planned allocation for that resource on teams is also removed.
Best practices
- Keep pools logically organized: group resources by department, skill set, or organizational unit.
- Review pool membership regularly to ensure it reflects the current organizational structure.
- Add a resource to the pool before planning their availability and team allocation in the Plan resources on team tab.
FAQ
Can a resource be in multiple pools? No. Each resource belongs to one pool, but can be assigned to multiple teams within that pool.
Where do I plan the availability of a resource? Availability and team allocation are managed in the Plan resources on team tab.
