Dashboard

Introduction

The Dashboard tab in the Project functionality of Fortes Change Cloud gives you a one-page overview of your project, showing information such as progress, planning, financials, risks, and status. It is built from configurable canvas segments. The Dashboard tab is functionally the same mechanism as the Custom Layout tab, just under a different name.

It is used by project managers, team leads, and stakeholders who need a quick, shareable picture of how the project is performing.

Using the Dashboard tab

Like the Custom Layout tab, the Dashboard is a canvas built from segments (for example Fields or List segments) that you arrange on the page. For the available segment types and how to add, move, and resize them, see Custom Layout.

How this works with Project Models

The segments on the Dashboard follow the Project Model the project is based on. If the Project Model does not allow the project manager to edit Canvases, the Edit page option is unavailable and the Dashboard follows the Model's layout; changes must then be made on the Model. See Use of Models for how Canvas permissions are configured per Model.
