Introduction​

What is the Financial Grid Tab?

The Financial Grid tab is a powerful feature within the Portfolio functionality of Fortes Change Cloud that provides a detailed, structured overview of financial data across the entire portfolio. It allows users to plan, track, and analyze financial metrics such as budgets, forecasts, actuals, and variances at various levels. The grid format offers flexibility in how financial data is displayed and managed, supporting both high-level summaries and detailed breakdowns by time period, cost type, or organizational unit.

Who Uses It? The Financial Grid tab is used by roles responsible for financial oversight and strategic planning, including:

  • Portfolio Managers, to monitor financial performance across initiatives and projects and ensure alignment with strategic investment goals.
  • Controllers and Financial Analysts, to manage budgets, track expenditures, and analyze variances.
  • PMO Teams, to support financial governance and reporting.
  • Program and Project Managers, to input and review financial data related to their initiatives.
  • Executives, to gain insight into financial trends and make informed investment decisions.
