Skills (roles or competences, e.g. 'Project manager', 'Backend developer') are defined centrally and then made available in portfolios, projects, and capacity planning.
Skills
The Skills list shows per Skill the name, the linked hour rate, and a description. Add a Skill via the list; click a Skill to edit it. The linked hour rate gives planned and written hours of this Skill a cost price.
Skill Categories
Skill Categories (e.g. 'Business skills', 'ICT skills', 'PPM skills') group Skills, which keeps long skill lists manageable when selecting and filtering. Each category has a name and a description. Manage them under the separate subject Skill Categories.
Where Skills are used
- Skill capacity planning in portfolios and projects.
- Time entry: written hours on a Skill are valued with the Skill's hour rate.
